DIY Teen Theatre Performs Shrek the Musical

Experience the magic all OGRE again,
as Shrek and Donkey set out to rescue the beautiful Princess Fiona from a fiery
Dragon—and win back their swamp from the fearsome Lord Farquaad in the process.
Little do they know that Fiona has a secret—princess by day…. but at night? DIY Teen Theatre—now in its fifth successful season—brings Pixar’s funniest and
most unlikely romance to life on stage. Joining Shrek and Fiona, a colorful
cast of characters step straight out of all your favorite fairy tales,
including Pinnochio, Little Red Riding Hood, Peter Pan, The Ugly Duckling, the
Three Little Pigs, and many more. The fifth summer musical directed by Helen Knudsen, Shrek features 53 young actors from Elmhurst and neighboring communities, as well as a 11 member orchestra.

SHREK will be performed in the Valentino
Center at Visitation School, 851 South York Road. Shows are Thursday, July 25th at 7.00 pm, Friday, July 26th at 7.00 pm, Saturday, July 27th at 2.00 pm, and Sunday,

July 28th at 2.00 pm. Tickets are $9.00 for adults and $7.00 for

students, available only at the door.
