This Saturday, September 28, the First Congregational United Church of Christ hosts a free electronics recycling event from 9 a.m. – noon in the church parking lot at 235 S. Kenilworth. A list of accepted items can be found at http://www.elmhurstucc.org/documents/recycling2013.pdf
After dropping off your electronics, take a little drive to Oak Park and River Forest for Green Living and Learning Tour. The tour features examples of sustainable living -- from entry-level efforts to expert installations, from basic to amazing. National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is Saturday, October 26, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Elmhurst Police Department. Take-Back day provides a safe, convenient and responsible way to dispose of prescription drugs.
