1901 - Frank Lloyd Wright completes the F. B. Henderson House
Famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) completed the F. B. Henderson House in Elmhurst at 301 South Kenilworth Avenue in 1901. It was his fourth Prairie styled house and the only house he built in Elmhurst. Frank Bignell Henderson, a business man from Cincinnati, and his wife Nellie commissioned Wright to build the house, which they lived in until 1908. The authentic Prairie styled house is still there today and is currently on the market for $1,250,000.
