Weekend Events Include Saturday Run, York Drama Fest and Paint the Gym Purple with the Lady Dukes

There's plenty to do, so get out there!

Enjoy everything Elmhurst has to offer. Here's a few things happening this weekend. We couldn't list it all here, so be sure to check out our calendar for more events. And, as always, tell us what we missed in the comments.

What:
When/Where: 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday, Feb. 3-5, at , 355 W. St. Charles Road
Why go: The York High School Drama Department presents the fifth annual Winter Festival Feb. 2-5. This year’s festival features one musical performance and three plays. The weekend offers audiences a wide variety of theater to enjoy and showcases the talent of nearly 50 students who perform, stage manage and assist in direction. Friday, it's "Waiting for Gadot" at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, it's the musical, "Songs for a New World" at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, it's "Fissures: Lost and Found" and "The Real Me" at 2 p.m.
Cost: $9 for adults, $7 for students, available at the door.

What: Lady Dukes Basketball will for Relay for Life
When/Where: 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, York High School, 355 W. St. Charles Road
Why Go: The Lady Dukes will take on Lyons Township High School in their quest for back-to-back conference championships while supporting the York All Youth Relay for Life team.

What: Harold Pinter's at The Mill
When/Where: 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 3 and 4, at the
Why go: In the second of the season’s three student productions, Elmhurst College junior Timothy Geistlinger will direct Harold Pinter’s Cold War comic drama.
Cost: $5

What: Saturday Soul Run with
When/Where: 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4
Why Go: If you been thinking about trying the weekly run with Runner's Soul, this is your chance. Coaches will be on hand to help the group decide to run, coffee at Elijah's afterward.
Cost: Free

What: Friends of the Library Trivia Night
When/Where: 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, Knights of Columbus, 537 S. York
Why Go: Gather your friends and create a team of up to eight people, or ask to be grouped with friends you haven’t yet met for this Friends of the Elmhurst Public Library fund-raiser. The winning table will get awesome prizes. Snacks will be provided, and a cash bar will be available.
Cost: $20 per person, $15 for Friends members
