Monday's Mosquito Spraying Takes on Added Significance Since West Nile Found at Berens

Threat of mosquitoes continues even as summer draws to a close.

The City of Elmhurst continues its war against mosquitoes Monday, Aug. 22.

Clarke Environmental Services will hit all the residential areas of Elmhurst with its mosquito-spraying trucks. The company, which sprays in the overnight hours, counts on clear weather for the treatment to be effective. The forecast for tonight is favorable, with virtually no chance of rain and low wind.

Monday's spraying comes on the heels of the in a mosquito found in a trap at Berens Park Aug. 16.
