Still Time to Drop Off Toys at Elmhurst YMCA for U.S. Marines Toys for Tots Drive

Stop by on Friday and meet a U.S. Marine, and skate with Santa.

'Tis the season for sharing.

Elmhurst community members are encouraged to drop off a new, unwrapped toy any time between now and Friday, Dec. 21, at the Elmhurst YMCA, 211 W. First St., for the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots holiday drive. The YMCA is open from 4:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays.

The toys collected will be distributed by U.S. Marines to children in DuPage County. The only thing they ask is no stuffed animals or toy guns, please.

From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, a guest U.S. Marine will be at the YMCA to greet donors and families. Guests also will have an opportunity to ice skate with Santa during open skate, from 8:30 to 9:50 p.m. Just make sure to bring a toy!

The toy drive has been a huge success so far, with dozens of toys already collected for children.
