Saturday was a Wash-out; We Need a Do-over

One-day rain delay for picnics, hikes, boats, bikes—and baseball.

Maybe Saturday is so dreary because we've had too many nice days for free, and Mother Nature has decided to start charging.

Regardless, if your end-of-summer plans were all washed up due to the semi-steady downpour, never fear. You'll have another chance.

According to the National Weather Service, Sunday will reach a high of 77 degrees with few clouds the entire day. Wind will be from the northwest at 9 miles per hour and humidity will be a comfortable 61 percent. The overnight low Sunday night will be 61 degrees—perfect for a Cubs game!

There won't be too many of these days left.

Looking ahead to the work week, Monday looks great again (feeling a little—cough, cough—sick?) and the next chance of rain, though slight, will be Tuesday and Wednesday.

As for now, the threat of rain and thunder continues Saturday afternoon and evening, although by dinner time, it should be mostly over, with just a few scattered showers lingering.
