Looks Like a Slow, All-Day Rain is Headed Our Way Friday

But your reward is just around the corner, just in time for some end-of-summer outdoor events.

The national weather service is placing the chance of rain today, Friday, at 90 percent. As of this morning, it doesn't look like anything serious—there are no watches or warnings for our area—but it will be just enough to spoil any outdoor plans. Most of the more severe storms are predicted to stay south of us.

We should get a taste of those cooler temperatures everyone has been clamoring for, with today's high predicted at 76 and the low at 56 overnight.

But if we can make it through a dreary day today, the weekend should be picture perfect. Saturday will be sunny, with a high of 70, and Sunday looks to be exactly the same, according to the National Weather Service—perfect for Sunday's at Berens Park.

Check our events calendar for lots of indoor and outdoor things to do this weekend. And, if you love garage sales, this is your weekend.

The week will begin with more sunny skies and a high of 77 on Monday. But don't get used to the cooler temperatures just yet. We'll be back up in the mid-80s midweek.
