A winter storm brought a little less than 4 inches of snow to Elmhurst Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

A total of about 4 to 7 inches of snow was expected. Travel did get a little dicey as the plows tried to keep up with the heavy precipitation and after-school activities were canceled in town, but all in all it was a pretty average Chicago storm.

Looks like it's going to be a rather nice day today, with partly cloudy skies and a high of 29 degrees.

Sledding anyone?
