Marklund Receives Generous Donations From Housware Show

The sign on the door says RESALE but many of the products inside are BRAND NEW thanks to a plethora of donations made from exhibitors at the Chicago International Home and Housewares Show.
Products donated by generous vendors that will be stocking the shelves this spring include: kitchenware and utensils, bathroom accessories, barware, decorative trays, office desks, glassware, storage containers, travel mugs, holiday décor, dishes, cleaning supplies, shelves, and wickless electric candles. In addition, the big named brands that Marklund received were Neat-Nix organizers, World Kitchen, Maxwell & Williams, Coca-Cola, which included many items to have a themed room in the house, and top-of-the-line Le Creuset kitchenware.

“Starting Monday, April 21, we would like to invite everyone to stop by the store to get great deals on brand-new products that were used for display at the show,” said Theresa Amoroso, store manager. “The products have been donated to us by individuals who share the same passion that we do for helping individuals with disabilities.”

All proceeds from the resale store benefit Marklund, a not-for-profit organization that serves infants, children and adults with severe developmental disabilities. Marklund provides residential, therapeutic and educational services in Geneva and Bloomingdale.

The resale store is located at 490 Georgetown Square (Irving Park Road), Wood Dale. Beginning Monday, April 21, hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday; and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.  For information, visit the website at www.marklund.org.
