Last Chance to Vote for Your Favorite Elmhurst Businesses

Elmhurst Patch's Readers' Choice contest ends tonight at midnight. Click on the categories below, then vote in the polls.

Patch has relaunched its Readers’ Choice contest, and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else you know to vote for the best spots in Elmhurst.

Patch is on a mission to find favorites of the Elmhurst community in 25 different categories—from restaurants to local bands to music lessons—as selected by you, the reader.

Patch prides itself on being a go-to source for community information, and if there are special businesses out there that go above and beyond for their customers, or a best rainy day spot, our readers want to know about it.

Here's how they'll find out:

The nomination period closed July 9.

July 23 to Aug. 17: Voting time! During this period, all the polls will be live and readers can cast votes in as many different categories as they desire. Again, those who rock the vote can spread the word via social media to make sure that their friends are chipping in, and that their favorite business and organizations know that they have a chance to win the Readers' Choice Award.

Aug. 24: Winners are announced and everyone lives happily ever after.

Below are all of the categories that will be voted on.

This is going to be fun, but also worthwhile. You're helping your neighbors by making these endorsements.

Under shopping, why are the categories so limited? There are other retailers in town besides gift shop, florists and women's clothing. In Elmurst, we have opportunities for men to shop for clothing, for all genders and ages to shop for athletic gear, bikes, jewelry, office supplies, etc.

Thanks so much for your suggestion. We will keep those categories in mind for a future Readers' Choice! It's hard to narrow them down. We could have done 25 categories of just shopping, alone!

Hi Karen:
Thanks. Just noticed that Cafe Amano, whom I nominated for best outdoor seating, didn't make it. Wasn't everyone included? It's such a lovely space.
