Fleet Feet's New Owners Announce the No Boundaries 5-K Training Program

Jason and Ashley Wells took over in June for , who are now the owners of a Fleet Feet store in Cincinnati.

Jason's dad opened a Fleet Feet in Jackson, Miss., in 2002, when Jason was in 10th grade, according to the Fleet Feet Elmhurst website. After graduating from Ole, Miss, Jason and Ashley ended up in Encino, Calif., to manage the Fleet Feet Sports there before moving to Elmhurst.

Fleet Feet Elmhurst is getting ready to kick off its next 5-k training group, No Boundaries, Ashley said.

The program is a Fleet Feet Sports and New Balance nationally sponsored beginner 5-K (3.1-mile) training program designed for people who are inactive or new to running and walking. While No Boundaries focuses specifically on beginners, all levels of walkers and runners are welcome to join.

The programs are structured to help participants cross the finish line in 10 weeks. They will be provided  with motivation, guidance and support; weekly group training runs or walks; educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear and avoiding injury; and the camaraderie of other runners.

Fleet Feet’s No Boundaries running/walking program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Fleet Feet Sports, 124 E. Schiller. Participants will get a full training schedule and a weekly Wednesday night group workout. The program also includes educational clinics on stretching, strengthening, injury prevention, gear, nutrition/hydration and more.

The No Boundaries 5K Program gives participants the goal of being race-ready in time for the on Nov. 22.

I agree with you but I don't know if we as just citizen's can do anything to stop that practice. IRead More wish that each cyclist had to have a license, and that it was enforced by laws and police, on the bike so that people could report occurrences and have the person receive a ticket just like a person driving an auto. That would make sense.

I was really hoping that the Elmhurst Police would sound in on this info-I do understand kids willRead More be kids, but if one of them is hurt, that adult driver will need to live with that for the rest of their life-so let's come up with a solution for both bicyclist and cars to be in harmony. I really think that a step up in enforcement in the bicycle laws would help-just like the drunk driving laws-believe me the bicycle laws are just as important.
