The following statement, in its entirety, was released at about 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20:

"We have received multiple bids from home developers to purchase our Berteau campus site.  We are in the process of evaluating those bids and our options.  We are seeking to sign a real estate contract with a developer in the coming weeks.  Even after the contract has been signed, there would still be a few months of due diligence before closing.  The City is aware, and supportive, of our process.  We’ve kept the nearby neighbors informed of our progress.  In fact, we just had an update meeting with neighborhood representatives last Tuesday, Nov. 12.  As publicly announced last month, we hired a broker, CBRE, which has coordinated this ongoing, open bidding process."
