Dine at Elmhurst Qdoba Through September to Help Raise Money for Hungry Kids

Get a scratch-off coupon for free food with a $1 donation.

Qdoba Mexican Grill is joining thousands of restaurants nationwide this September to support Share Our Strength’s Dine Out For No Kid Hungry campaign. Through Sept. 30, Qdoba guests who donate $1 or more at any Chicagoland Qdoba restaurant, including the Elmhurst location at St. Charles and Route 83, will receive a scratch-off coupon card good for one Qdoba treat—ranging from a free drink to free entrée—to use during their next Qdoba visit. All donations will go directly to Dine Out For No Kid Hungry.

More than 16 million American children face hunger. Now in its fifth year, Dine Out For No Kid Hungry has raised more than $4 million for the No Kid Hungry campaign, which connects kids in need with nutritious food and teaches their families how to cook healthy, affordable meals.

“Childhood hunger is an issue that affects more U.S. families and children than most people realize,” said Gary Beisler, CEO of Qdoba Mexican Grill. “In fact, one out of every five kids in America struggles with hunger. We’re passionate about raising awareness and support for such a crucial issue and we know our guests share that passion too.”

Qdoba also will host a preview party at its newest restaurant location in Oakbrook Terrace, at 17W639 Roosevelt Road, on Saturday, Sept. 22 benefitting Dine Out For No Kid Hungry. Guests can get a sneak peak of the new Qdoba location (opening Sept. 24) and for a recommended $5 donation receive an entrée and regular soft drink with all donations collected going directly to Dine Out For No Kid Hungry.  Hours for the event are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m.

Share Our Strength’s Dine Out For No Kid Hungry is nationally sponsored by Sysco, American Express, Ecolab, ONEHOPE Wine, SCA, Food Network, Clear Channel and the National Restaurant Association. Visit DineOutForNoKidHungry.org.

I agree with you but I don't know if we as just citizen's can do anything to stop that practice. IRead More wish that each cyclist had to have a license, and that it was enforced by laws and police, on the bike so that people could report occurrences and have the person receive a ticket just like a person driving an auto. That would make sense.

A couple of years ago, Villa Park installed "State Law- must stop for pedestrians" signsRead More on the roadways where the Great Western and Prairie Paths cross. I saw a big increase in path users barreling across the streets with no regard for the stop signs on the path.

I was really hoping that the Elmhurst Police would sound in on this info-I do understand kids willRead More be kids, but if one of them is hurt, that adult driver will need to live with that for the rest of their life-so let's come up with a solution for both bicyclist and cars to be in harmony. I really think that a step up in enforcement in the bicycle laws would help-just like the drunk driving laws-believe me the bicycle laws are just as important.
