Customers in Costume Can Get a $2 Boorito (or Bowl, Salad or Tacos) at Chipotle on Halloween Night

Million-dollar fund-raiser benefits the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation.

On Oct. 31, between 4 p.m. and closing, Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants will treat customers dressed in costume to a burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos for $2. Proceeds from the fund-raiser, up to $1 million, will benefit the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation.

The Elmhurst Chipotle is located right in the heart of downtown, at 139 N. York.

“We have always believed that good food should be affordable and accessible to everyone, and our annual Boorito fund-raiser is a great opportunity for customers to enjoy a $2 burrito while supporting a great cause,” founder and CEO Steve Ells said. “We have already raised $2 million to support farmers and organizations that make sustainable and humanely raised food possible, and we’ll add to that total this year. It’s a great way to celebrate Halloween by doing something good.”

Chipotle released a short film featuring comedian Rob Riggle, best know for appearances in such films as "The Hangover" and "21 Jump Street." Riggle steals candy, TP's the neighbors’ houses and wrecks a police car before arriving at Chipotle to redeem himself by purchasing a $2 burrito to benefit the Cultivate Foundation.

Participants in this year’s fund-raiser also are invited to enter the Chipotle Costume Contest for a chance to win $2,500 and other prizes. For more information and contest rules, click here.

The Cultivate Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to creating a more sustainable and healthful food supply and to raising awareness of food issues. The foundation supports family farmers and their communities, educators and programs that teach younger generations about food matters, along with support for ranchers and farmers who are working to develop more sustainable practices.
