York Theatre Introduces $5 Tuesday Deal

The $5 price per person includes new releases, with 3D showings offered at an additional $2.

Classic Cinemas recently introduced a $5 Tuesdays deal, which allows movie goers to purchase tickets for showings at any of its 11 listed theaters, including the York Theatre, 150 N. York St. in downtown Elmhurst, for $5, according to a Classic Cinemas press release.

The $5 price per person includes new releases, with 3D showings offered at an additional $2. This special program excludes special events, according to the news release.

“We’ve wanted to offer discounted admission for a while as a way to thank our guests for being so loyal to Classic Cinemas,” said Chris Johnson, vice president of Classic Cinemas, in a news release. “Tuesday seemed like the best day to offer the special pricing.”

Typically, evening showings are pricier than matinees, but on Tuesdays, the $5 deal is available all day.

“We want to continue to offer high quality service to our guests and affirm that Classic Cinemas is our patron’s hometown theatre of choice,” said Johnson.

This promotion does not include the Ogden or the Tivoli Theatres. The Ogden Theatre is $4 all day, and the Tivoli is $4 before 6 p.m. and $5 after 6 p.m.
