York Holiday Orchestra Concert

The concert will include performances by the York Cadet, Concert and Symphony Orchestras conducted by Ray Ostwald and student teacher Mark Hamada of DePaul University. The orchestras will offer a mixture of classical and seasonal favorites, including music by Mendelssohn, Mozart, Vivaldi and Handel.

Featured student musicians will include sophomore violinist Madeline Mueller, performing the first movement of Edouard Lalo's Symphonie Espagnole. Other featured students will include violinists Madelyn Fiene, Keely Hicks, Rachel Kikos, Caroline Dierksheide, Mary Margaret Koch, Laura Krance and Jillian Forbes, as well as cellists Jenny McDunn, Lois Cha, Jake Pulver and Analiese Dorff. The concert will also feature two traditional Strauss New Year's Eve favorites.
