Trio of artists extols “La Belle France”

Three artists, all members of the Elmhurst Artists’ Guild, are collaborating in an unusual painting and ceramics show opening June 26 in the EAG Gallery at the Elmhurst Art Museum, 150 Cottage Hill Ave., Elmhurst.  Entitled “La Belle France,” the show blends the work of Ray Meifert, Karen Exiner and Teri Litavsky into a collection that not only reflects the inspiration each drew from the work of the others but also their love of France.

A French-themed opening reception for the exhibition will be held in the Gallery on Friday, June 29, from 7 to 9 p.m.  Both the reception and the show are open to the public.

The show can be viewed until August 3, 2012, during regular Elmhurst Art Museum hours, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Friday.   Admission is $7 for adults but is free all day Friday and to Museum members and children at all times. Further information regarding the “La Belle France” show can obtained by contacting Karen Exiner (mexiner@comcast.net).
