"The Guys" focuses on the aftermath of the World Trade Center collapse and the memories of firefighters who perished there displaying heroism in an extraordinary call to duty on September 11, 2001. Elmhurst residents Chuck Jacobson and Cheryl Rice appear in this powerful 90-minute production. Rice is the New York editor who helps Jacobson’s FDNY captain find the words he seeks to eulogize the firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on that fateful day. This GreenMan Theatre Showcase production is part of a commemoration of the ten year anniversary of 9/11. Audience members are encouraged to engage in a discussion about the play and their reflections of that historic date after every performance.
