Support NAMI DuPage by Attending May 18 Concert

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

Residents can support the DuPage chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness by attending a benefit concert at 7:30 p.m. May 18. NAMI's mission is to educate high school and middle school students about mental illness through the award winning school program, "Ending the Silence."

Brian Hilligoss, former Nashville singer/songwriter and Grand Ole Opry performer, will be presenting original songs and acoustic favorites with fellow musicians Susan Smentek, Keith Baumann, Paul Heinz, Brian Collins, Larry Kohut and Jeff Frankel.

Five years ago, Brian and his wife, Brenda (NAMI Dupage school connections director) created “Ending the Silence” and “ETS 101,” which are now being implemented in schools across the U.S. and Mexico.
