Jenny Riddle in Concert

Elmhurst favorite Jenny Riddle will be joined by Jeffrey Panko in an afternoon of song and story to complete the 12th season of the Music at Bethel concert series. Ms Riddle will be performing a Cabaret Show of songs along a story line following her own journey through life. The concert is on Sunday, April 17 at 3:00 pm., presented in the acoustically pleasing sanctuary of Bethel United Church of Christ, 315 East St. Charles Road in Elmhurst.

“I’m very excited about this show” Ms. Riddle stated. “From my first professional gig at the piano bar at the Holidome in Skokie to marriage, being a Mom, growing older. It’s kind of an affirmation of life, an acceptance of who we are.”

The songs being presented range from “I’ve Got the Sun in the Morning” from the show Annie Get Your Gun  to “Big Spender” and “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again”.  “I like to find songs that tell a great story” Ms. Riddle stated. “There are also a number of lesser known songs that are really gems. One of my favorites is by Amanda McBroom, the person who wrote “The Rose”. There is also a parody of “My Way”.
