Elmhurst Symphony Pairs Movie and Music for 'Amadeus'

Join Elmhurst Symphony supporters at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at York Theater for a showing of the Oscar-winning film Amadeus, which chronicles the genius of composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and features music from his Requiem, K. 626.

Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra will perform Requiem K.626 with the Apollo Chorus at its subscription concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Rockefeller Chapel at the University of Chicago. It will repeat the performance at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, at Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church.

Don’t miss seeing this blockbuster movie which, according to Classic Cinemas owner Willis Johnson, ran for 26 weeks straight at Hinsdale Theater when it was released in 1984. Tickets for the film are $5, and proceeds will help underwrite the performance of the Apollo Chorus at the upcoming concert.
