Auditions for Elmhurst Children's Theatre's 'Anything Goes'!

ECT is excited to announce auditions for our Fall Show, Anything Goes! First produced in 1934, Anything Goes features music and lyrics by the legendary Cole Porter. It was reprised on Broadway just last year and won 3 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical. We are very excited to bring this production to Elmhurst - its sure to be a lot of fun with a large cast and opportunities for many to be involved!

Auditions will be on Wednesday, August 15th starting at 6:00 p.m. They will be held at Field School, 295 Emroy Ave., Elmhurst. Callbacks are Thursday, August 16th, 6-9:30. Please call (630-279-5931) or email (mchittaro@sbcglobal.net) to book an audition slot. Walk-ins are welcome on audition night, just be prepared to wait for an available audition time. Performances will be October 19, 20 and 21. Children in 5th-8th Grade who live in Elmhurst or attend a school in Elmhurst are eligible to audition. Visit our website at http://www.elmhurstchildrenstheatre.com and check our Audition Poster for all the important audition details.

For your audition, prepare up to 32 bars of a song in the style of the show (a cappella). Also prepare a short memorized monologue of your choosing or from a selection of Audition Sides selected by our Director, Jason Sperling, from the script of Anything Goes. Review the Character Descriptions here. Pick pieces that show you off well, whether or not they are from Anything Goes.

Review our Attendance Policy and Expectations, the Preliminary Rehearsal Schedule, and Parent and Cast Member Contracts for added insight into the ECT experience. Being part of a show is a terrific responsibility and a lots and lots of fun.

I agree with you but I don't know if we as just citizen's can do anything to stop that practice. IRead More wish that each cyclist had to have a license, and that it was enforced by laws and police, on the bike so that people could report occurrences and have the person receive a ticket just like a person driving an auto. That would make sense.

A couple of years ago, Villa Park installed "State Law- must stop for pedestrians" signsRead More on the roadways where the Great Western and Prairie Paths cross. I saw a big increase in path users barreling across the streets with no regard for the stop signs on the path.

I was really hoping that the Elmhurst Police would sound in on this info-I do understand kids willRead More be kids, but if one of them is hurt, that adult driver will need to live with that for the rest of their life-so let's come up with a solution for both bicyclist and cars to be in harmony. I really think that a step up in enforcement in the bicycle laws would help-just like the drunk driving laws-believe me the bicycle laws are just as important.
