DuPage Symphony Orchestra Concert

The DuPage Symphony Orchestra's fourth subscription concert of the
2010-2011 season showcases two quintessential American masters, Samuel Barber and Leonard Bernstein. The orchestra will perform Barber’s Overture to The School for Scandal and Adagio for Strings, and Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story and Overture to Candide.

The winner of the DSO’s Young Artists Auditions will also be featured. Daniel Shen, son of Guoyin and Jianfei Shen, was awarded first place
in the Young Artists Auditions Feb. 5, and will perform excerpts of Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1. He is a sophomore at Naperville Central High School.
