GreenMan Theatre will be holding auditions for William Shakespeare's tragedy Macbeth.
Appointments are not required to audition. Auditions will take place on Sunday August 19 at 1 PM, Monday & Tuesday August 20 & 21 at 7 PM. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Those who audition will also read a monologue. They may prepare one in advance, as long as it's two minutes or less. It needn't be from Macbeth, as long as it's a Shakespearean monologue. For those who do not prepare one in advance, they will be provided one from Macbeth to read. There is no pay.
GreenMan Theatre's Artistic Director David Soria is directing the production. Dates of the production are the weekends between October 19-November 4, 2012.
There will be a need for a minimum of 16 actors, and total may increase depending on amount of doubling. Some roles will require doubling. Depending on audition turnout,
