Elmhurst College Cello Professor Joins Steve Martin on Letterman Tonight

Be sure to tune in to CBS tonight to catch Jean Hatmaker's performance.

York High School graduate Jean Hatmaker will appear with the Kontras Quartet today, Friday, Sept. 27, on the David Letterman Show. The show airs at 10:35 p.m. on CBS. Hatmaker, a professor of cello at Elmhurst College will back world-famous comedian and banjoist Steve Martin, and the Kruger Brothers, a nationally acclaimed bluegrass trio with whom Jean has a long-standing collaborative relationship.  

Jean and her sister Kate, also an accomplished musician, also will be featured in the Elmhurst Symphony’s first concert of the season at 7 p.m. Oct. 19 at Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church, playing Brahms’ musical gem, the Double Concerto for Violin and Cello.
