Elmhurst Artists' Guild Launches Summer Member Show
Event begins Tuesday, runs through September, at Elmhurst Art Museum.
Dozens of emerging and established Chicagoland artists will exhibit their works in the Elmhurst Artists' Guild Summer Show, which opens Tuesday, Aug. 7, at the .
An opening reception and judging will be held on Friday, Aug. 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the gallery. The event is open to the public. Admission to the gallery is free on Fridays.
The show can be viewed through Sept. 14 during regular hours at the museum: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday. Admission is always free for museum members and children.

The Elmhurst Artists' Guild Gallery is a nonprofit and run by the Guild. It feature original, contemporary artworks in a variety of styles and media. Each year, it hosts several group shows featuring Guild member artwork, an invitational show for a significant local artist and the National Art Premiere - a nationwide juried group show. Exhibits are partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council.
