Beware, parents and trick-or-treaters! There's a storm brewing for Halloween.

The National Weather Service in Chicago is predicting a 100 percent chance of showers during the day on Halloween in Elmhurst, with a 50 percent chance of showers Thursday night. New rainfall amounts between .75 and 1 inch is possible.

Accuweather.com is calling the storm—which will stretch from the upper midwest all the way to Louisiana—a "Halloween Soaker." It's also supposed to be windy Thursday, with wind gusts as high as 20 miles per hour expected.

Be sure to monitor this spooky weather situation on the National Weather Service map.
