Weather Alert: Wind Chill Advisory Until 10 AM Friday

The National Weather Service-Chicago has a winter weather advisory in place.

It's getting darned cold, so be careful out there.

Yes, just days after record-high temperatures and a flood watch, we've got a wind-chill advisory in place from midnight Thursday until 10 a.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service-Chicago.

The wind chill values will get down to about 15 to 25 degrees below zero overnight Thursday, with a regular temperature of about 5 degrees.

The dangers, of course, are frostbite and hypothermia.

"IF YOU MUST VENTURE OUTDOORS ... MAKE SURE YOU WEAR A HAT AND
GLOVES," the NWS-C says in its usual all-caps.
