Time to Sign Up for Summer Camps

Plan now to avoid a bummer summer.

It won't be long before those backpacks come home filled with used-up school supplies and end-of-year art projects; summer is right around the corner.  Whether you need a place for kids to be while you're working during the day or simply can't bear to hear the words "I'm bored" for the 875th time, it's time to look at summer camp options before they're all filled up.  Here are some Elmhurst choices to check out:

The Park District camps have something for just about any kid.  They have nature camps, swimming camps, sports camps and more, for kids as young as 1 year old!  Check their Web site for more information.

The YMCA also offers a wide variety of camps for preschool age through teens.  There are adventure camps, sport camps, art and music camps and more available.  Registration began in February and is ongoing while space is available.  See their brochure for details.

Acting camps are available for children entering first and second grade; third and fourth grade; and fifth through eight grade.  Students develop characters and acting techniques while building confidence and making friends.  Check their Web site for more information.
