Shop, party, work out or listen to the music.

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for when you're done with work and ready to get out. Check our picks for the activities to hit.

1. DARE TO DREAM BENEFIT
Where/When: 4-10 p.m. Friday at , 211 S Prospect Ave.
Why Go: It is part of Elmhurst’s first —Women in Art, Design and Wellness: A Market Place to Shop, Enrich and Nourish Friday and Saturday. Shop for jewelry, handbags, fashion clothing, fiber, glass, paintings, unique kids clothing. The benefit is for “Dare to Dream: Get Educated!," a young Latino girls organization  to inspire  girls to stay in school.
Pricing: Benefit tickets $15 in advance, $20 at door. ENVISION tickets are $5.

2. MARDI GRAS PARTY
Where/When: 7-11 p.m. Friday at , 310 W Butterfield Rd.
Why Go: The Elmhurst Newcomers & Neighbors Club's annual fundraising on behalf of the Elmhurst Children’s Assistance Foundation. It features a Cajun/southern-style dinner catered by Heaven on Seven and an open bar.  In addition to the Mardi Gras festivities and a DJ and dancing, there will be a silent auction and raffle.
Pricing: $120 per couple, $65 per single.

3. SIXTEEN CANDLES
Where/When: 9 p.m. Friday at Fitz's Spare Keys, 119 N. York Road.
Why Go: The five-man band specializes in '80s music.

4. INDOOR TRIATHLON
Where/When: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at , 186 S. West Ave.
Why Go: It's a 10-minute swim, 15-minute bike ride and 15-minute treadmill run.
Pricing: $25 for residents, $35 for non-residents.

5. CHAMBER MUSIC
Where/When: 3 p.m. Sunday at 315 E. St. Charles Rd.
Why Go: Three rising string stars of the Chicago classical musical scene, Joo Yun Preece, violin, Timothy Hager, viola, Will Preece, cello along with Music at Bethel Artistic Director and pianist Jeffrey Panko, will present by Mahler, Mozart and Brahms. A reception including food and a chance to mingle with the performers follows.
Pricing: $20, $18 for seniors, $5 for students.
