1. LAST HURRAH SUMMER SALE
Where/When: Begins today, Thursday, Aug. 25, and runs through Sunday in downtown Elmhurst.
Why Go: Enjoy all that City Centre has to offer with at your favorite merchants.
Cost: $10 for members, $13 for nonmembers
2. FESTA ITALIANA
Where/When: 5-11 p.m. Friday, noon-11 p.m. Saturday, and noon-10 p.m. Sunday at Centennial Park, Lake St. and N. Rohlwing Rd, Addison.
Why Go: Continuous live , Italian food specialties from west suburban Italian restaurants, beer, wine, merchandise from Italy, children’s activities, Sunday Mass at 10 a.m.
Cost: $7; $15 all-rides wristband.
3. FLEA AND CRAFT EVENT
Where/When: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at , 235 S. Kenilworth Ave.
Why go: A variety of will be there, rain or shine, offering hand-made craft items, jewelry, antiques, collectibles and more. Shoppers can find fresh produce or a flowering plant. Grilled food, lively music and children's activities will round out the fun.
4. ONE WORSHIP
Where/When: 10 a.m. Sunday at the Addison Street Parking Lot, 120 N. Addison St.
Why Go: A in downtown Elmhurst sponsored by the congregations of seven churches. It will be a celebration of reconciliation available for people brought together with God and each other through the love of Christ.
5. A POTPOURRI OF MUSIC
Where/When: 3 p.m. Sunday at , 315 E Saint Charles Rd.
Why Go: Ralph Vaughan Williams' Songs of Travel will be by baritone Evan Bravos; soprano Christine Steyer, who will present Barber's Knoxville, Summer of 1915 (both works sung in English); and Jeffrey Panko, who will perform the Piano Trio by Tchaikovsky.
Cost: Free-will offering.
