And, if you don't mind going out of town, Grove Fest is happening in Downers Grove.

1. SLEEPING BEAUTY
Where/When: 7 p.m. Friday at , College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn.
Why Go: Summer Repertory Theater presents “Sleeping Beauty,” Michele L. Vacca’s adaptation of the fairy tale classic.
Cost: $11-$13.
2. CHAMPS FOR CHARITY BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
Where/When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Valentino Center, 851 S. York Road, Elmhurst
Why Go: The Brian E. Wagner Scholarship Fund will host a Champs for Charity 3-on-3 basketball fundraiser. Chicago Bulls legend Sidney Green will make an appearance at 3 p.m.

3. MELIKIN PUPPET CIRCUS
Where/When: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at , 125 S. Prospect Ave.
Why Go: See Fumbles the clown, Luseal, the trained seal, Bruno, the human cannonball, and Baby Melvin, a life-sized baby elephant puppet at this family event.
Cost: Free
4. TOY FAIR EXTRAVAGANZA
Where/When: 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at , 120 E. Park Ave.
Why Go: Enter a Lincoln Log building contest, play games on the museum grounds, meet the inventor of Operation, win cool prizes, play a group game of Blurt with the inventor, eat ice cream, tour the exhibit and more.

5. GROVE FEST
Where/When: All weekend in Downtown Downers Grove.
Why Go: Live entertainment, carnival rides and games, car show Sunday, craft show Saturday and Sunday made the annual Rotary GroveFest the place to be.
Cost: $5 for entertainment area all weekend; $23 for unlimited ride wristband.
