Perfect Helicopter Weather in Elmhurst Sunday

Do you have photos of Sunday's Fire Station Open House? We'd love to share them.

To celebrate Fire Prevention Week Oct. 6-12, Elmhurst Fire Department held an open house Sunday, Oct. 6, at Station #2 on South York Road.

Families got to check out demonstrations and the Fire Safety House education trailer, as well as see all of Elmhurst's emergency vehicles up close.

The highlight of the afternoon was a Superior Air Med 1 helicopter that landed and took off right next to the fire station.
