Life is a Highway if You've Got a Pocket Full of Sunshine and Can Do the Cupid Shuffle

Kids in the Elmhurst YMCA Summer Camp took the stage in front of hundreds of spectators for a talent show Wednesday night at the Sandburg Middle School auditorium.

It was the 12th annual show for the Elmhurst Y, and this year's young performers did not disappoint. The audience was treated to various renditions of songs, including "Life is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts, "Pocket Full of Sunshine" by Natasha Bedingfield, "More" by Usher, "U Smile" by Justin Bieber, "Firework" by Katy Perry and many more.

There was plenty of dancing, some singing, and even an original rap, performed by Aidan Moran and Nicky Barker (see attached video). All the acts were made possible with the help of about 20 coordinators and camp counselors, who also served as choreographers.

The event also was a fund-raiser for the Elmhurst YMCA scholarship program. Raffle prizes, provided by Starbuck's, Kane County Cougars, Buffalo Wild Wings, Al's Hobby Shop and other merchants, were given away throughout the evening.
