Jenny McCarthy Speaks Out About Autism in Lombard

McCarthy will make a special announcement tonight about the future for autism treatments.

When Jenny McCarthy's son, Evan, was diagnosed with autism she made it her mission to learn everything about the developmental disorder that affected her son's communication and social skills. Now, the actress is an activist for autism and uses her star-power to raise awareness about autism and effective treatments.

Tonight at the Westin Hotel in Lombard, McCarthy and autism expert Dr. Doreen Granpeesheh will announce a shared vision for the future of effective autism treatment.

The two will make the announcement during the AutismOne Conference. The yearly conference offers parents of autistic children a chance to compare notes about their experiences and to speak with practitioners about effective treatments.
