It's Another Hot One!

Elmhurst pools flooded with people on Tuesday, and today looks like more of the same; storms are on the way.

The temperature hit 96 degrees in Elmhurst on Tuesday and, by all accounts, we're in for more of the same today. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory.

These folks have the right idea. Where better to hang out than at one of Elmhurst's two public pools? Smalley Pool, at York Commons Park, 665 S. York, is tons of spashy fun for kids. Open swim hours are noon to 8 p.m. daily, noon to 4 p.m. on July 4.

East End Pool, at 463 Schiller St., offers different hours for adult swim, lap swim and open swim. See the schedule here.
