Help Special Kids Day by Getting a Car Wash This Weekend

Here's your chance to help Special Kids Day in Elmhurst—and end up with a tasty treat and a clean car.

Special Kids Day is hosting a car wash and bake sale in the parking lot of , 535 Spring Road, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24.

Money raised will go toward all the events Special Kids Day hosts for children with special needs and their families. No one is ever turned away. Without fund-raisers like the one this weekend, these events would not be possible.

Special Kids Day began in 1990 as a holiday event so that kids with special needs can visit Santa Claus without having to deal with obstacles. While it still sponsors a Santa event, families also have been able to enjoy exclusive time at the Elmhurst carnival, trips to the zoo and other events.
