Gobble Gobble! Record-breaking Crowd at 30th Dan Gibbons Turkey Trot

Clear skies greeted the 8,685 runners and walkers who participated in the Dan Gibbons Turkey Trot Thursday. That's a new record for the race, now in its 30th year, which drew 8,250 participants in 2012.
Top three male finishers in the 5-K were:
- Justin Smith, 23, of Bensenville, 15:40
- Noah Lawrence, 33, of Willowbrook, 15:58
- Jack Driggs, 20, of Elmhurst, 15:59
Top three female finishers were:
- Maria Lindberg, 30, of Elmhurst, 18:54
- Kim Miltz, 39, of Hoffman Estates, 18:56
- Meghan Frigl, 21, of Elmhurst, 20:21
The event was kicked off with a flyover by the Lima Lima Flight Team.

Proceeds of the Turkey Trot will feed hungry families through the following DuPage County agencies:
- Loaves and Fishes Community Pantry
- West Suburban Community Pantry
- People's Resource Center
- United Community Concerns Association
- Catholic Charities DuPage
- DuPage PADS
- DuPage Senior Citizens Council
- Elmhurst Walk-in Ministry
- Elmhurst Yorkfield Food Pantry
