Elmhurst Man Finishes First in Downers Grove 5-Miler
Elmhurst's James Akita leads the pack in Sunday's Downers Grove annual five-mile race.
James Akita, 33, finished first in Downers Grove's 37th annual 5-Miler race on Sunday.
Akita beat a field of 231 male runners, finishing first in the 5-mile race with a time of 26:31.
The old 5-miler draws runners from around the Chicago region. Over 400 runners participated this year.
