Best of Craigslist: Stooges Busts; 1955 Steam-Shovel Arcade Game

The following items were found on Craigslist for the DuPage County area. Patch has no control over the status of these posts on Craigslist and how long they remain available.

Stooges Busts

Only the most dignified and respectable of gentlemen deserve to be immortalized in bust form, so of course the Three Stooges qualify, right? Who needs a Beethoven bust on your piano wen you can have Curly? At least he, Larry and Moe have dressed for the occasion. All three (and really, could you imagine having just a partial set?) are going for $80 out of Wheaton.

1955 Steam-Shovel Arcade Game

Today's arcade games provide dramatic visuals and reflexive challenges, pay out tickets redeemable for silly prizes, and occasionally make you dance like a buffoon for the amusement of floating arrows. In 1955, an arcade game let you dig in a sandbox for a bit. This 1955 Chicago Coin Steam Shovel tests your ability to fill up a hopper for a nickel a play, but it'll cost a few more nickels ($3,150) to get it from a Lisle seller.

Champion 'Hakws Autographed Jersey

Still riding the Blackhawks Stanley Cup victory frenzy? If you've got $700 burning a hole in your pocket, a Woodridge seller is offering a jersey with signatures from Toews, Keith, Stalberg, Leddy and several more. Oh, heck, we're not tired of yelling it yet: go Hawks! Whoohoo! Go Hawks!

Nerf Arsenal

Become the John Rambo of the Nerf world when you load up with these seven foam firearms in caution-bright yellow and orange. Wage a (responsible) battle, have target practice or unload and suit up for a costume. They're going for $80 for the whole bunch of blasters, from a Hinsdale seller.

500-Gallon Fishtank

What exactly would one house in this ten-foot-long tank, a full-grown mako shark? This ain't your grandma's fishbowl, that's for sure. It comes with a tank stand, two canister filters, gravel and a florescent light. Your provide the shark (er, fish.) It's a full $3,000 out of Burr Ridge.

26 Boxes of Decorated Wine Bottles

From what I can glean for this ad, someone in Lisle started sticking things on the outside of wine bottles as an arts project and ended up with too many wine bottles with things stuck on the outside. ("We need our space back!" they plead.) The seller would like to get rid of the 315 "decorative" bottles for $750, saying it's a bargain when the bottles go at fairs for up to $25 each.
