YES Fest Debuts 7/20!

The brainchild of a group of York High School students and recent alumni, YES Fest — with YES standing for Youth Elmhurst Showcase — will debut in Elmhurst on Saturday, July 20.

Free and open to the public, the day-long event will be an opportunity to enjoy arts and entertainment by local teens.

“Too often you hear in the news about what’s wrong with youth today,” says Dan Sonenberg, a 2013 York graduate and member of the YES Fest organizing committee, which is comprised entirely of local teens. “We wanted to create a way for talented area teens to share their talents and their unique creative perspective with the community — and do it in a fun summer setting.”
