Target in Elmhurst

I am trying to remember, when was the Target on St. Charles and 83 closed. I know it is a Kmart now, but when was it a Target?

It never was a Target

It was E.J. Korvette's. Followed by Builders Square.

Was it a Target after the Builder's Square?

Back in the day you had Korvettes in the center of the area with an Ammoco (standard oil) gas station on the corner. Also had originally an A&P grocery store across from National. Korvettes closed, builders Square took over. A&P had closed and replaced by a Kohlers (I think ). National closed. Then Builders Square closed and the strip was redesigned. Dominiks at some point drove Kohlers out and then eventually moved into the new development. Eventually the gas station was closed and redeveloped as the current mini-strip/ bank.

anyone remember the history of the old Sandy's location?

I wouldn't mind it. The only problem is, if the drive is far, I could have a fart overdose. That causes gases to built up in my transfusional nugget chamber causing anal implosion. Other than that I wouldn't mind one

I wonder if DB is thinking of the Sears which then became Kmart

Wasn't Sandy's located kiddie corner across the street from Silverado?
