McFun for Immanuel Lutheran McTeachers
On Tuesday, February 11th a few days before Valentines Day, Immanuel Lutheran School shows the love for their school at a very successful McTeacher's Night at the McDonald's on York Rd. in North Elmhurst. Teachers took over the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for the school. Many teachers worked very hard including McPrincipal Trettin. The McTeacher jobs included; drive-thru teachers, greeters, teachers cleaning the lobby, front counter teachers, drink teachers, teachers clearing tables, and teachers singing for tips. Teachers working included the following: Amanda Iliadis, Kara Zigament, Karen Kraus, Laura Kraus, Nancy Jahnke, Natalie Voth, Dawn Mueller, Beth Baerenklau, Elizabeth Koehn, Karen Zielke, Kim Nottingham, Barb Prine, Kim Hilgenkamp, Caryn Marten, James Baerenklau (served up some great Shamrock Shakes), Heather Estes, McPrincipal Paul Trettin and Kelly Burmeister. Immanuel had it all covered, and the families all had a great time. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out to support the school despite the frigid temperatures. All the kids came to see their teachers work at McDonald's. A special appearance by Ronald McDonald helped make this fundraiser a memorable evening. Families enjoyed taking pictures with Ronald. It was a great night! Ronald's appearance was courtesy of the North Elmhurst McDonald's owner/operator, Trisha Hall. McTeacher's Night for Immanuel would not have been possible without the coordination of the event by Heather Estes, who is a Pre-K teacher at Immanuel.
