This Les Mills program challenges participants both physically and mentally through it’s 30-minute, high intensity interval training. Three different classes offer their own benefits:
GRIT Strength – Intense 30-minute workout that blasts all major muscle groups to build strength and lean muscle tone while kicking metabolism into overdrive and burning fat for hours after the session ends.
GRIT Cardio – High-impact cardio workout designed to burn fat rapidly and improve athletic capability. This explosive session combines high impact body weight exercises to maximize calorie burn within the workout and helps burn fat for hours afterwards.
GRIT Plyo - Extreme plyometric-based workout that gets results fast! Combining the principles of plyometrics and power agility training, this class builds an agile, lean, athletic body and shape.
GRIT‘s small group, team-training environment is scientifically backed with safety and science at it’s core. All of the coaches are highly-charged certified trainers and groups are never greater than 12 participants.
The Elmhurst YMCA’s FALL I session is 8 weeks long and will run between September 1 -- October 27. Members and non-members are welcome to sign up for unlimited classes via the online scheduling system during the session. (The YMCA suggests doing GRIT 2-3 times per week in varying formats.)
