IC Catholic Prep Math Team Achieves Success at Regional Competition

On Saturday, February 22, 2014, thirty six members of the IC Catholic Prep Math Team competed at the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM) Regional Competition at North Central College in Naperville.  ICCP competed in the 1A Division and had two teams earn awards.

The Algebra 1 Team of Max Czyzycki, James Kenneally, Robert Vitek, Demitra Del Fiacco, Kaitlyn Grady, and Deirdre Lee finished in 2nd place at the Regional and will likely advance to the State Finals, which will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at the University of Illinois in Champaign.  The Oral Team of Evan Czyzycki and Bailey McCann, also finished in second place at the Regional with hopes of advancing to the State Finals as well. The ICCP Math Team is coached my Mrs. Michelle Ferguson and Mrs. Diane Martin.
