Inclusive Faith Community gathers for conversation and service
Welcome Inn, a mission of St. James Lutheran Church, ELCA, will hold its first organizational meeting on Wednesday, March 26th at 6pm at the Berkley Public Library. This group will meet monthly on the fourth Wednesday at 6. Welcome Inn introduces a new concept or worship/service/community that meets people where they are.
“Many people are looking for a community that is intentionally service-oriented and invitational,” said Rev. Erin Clausen, pastor of St. James Lutheran Church in Western Springs. “Welcome Inn offers the opportunity to create a safe, invitational worshipping community defined by grace, openness, and safety.” The initial meeting on March 26th draws together people who are interested in shaping how this will happen. Be a part of the creation of this community by bringing your hopes and ideas to this meeting.
