York Girls Swim Team Co-Champions of Maine South Relays Oct 13

Strong swims by Frosh-Soph lead York to Co Championship of Maine South Relays

The York Girls Swim Team is the 2012 Co-Champion of the Maine South Relays. On Saturday, Oct. 13, the team travelled to Maine South High School and competed hard even though some of the senior swimmers were off on college visits and missed the meet. The Frosh-Soph stepped up and performed well in their absence, winning all four Frosh-Soph relays to lift the Dukes to a tie for the title. 

Team scores were York 136, Maine South 136, Lane Tech 102, with Highland Park, Conant and South Elgin also in the invite.

200 Medley Relay Frosh-Soph: Sarah Eaton, Paula Nolte, Sarina Kao, Maggie Schlecht

500 Crescendo Relay Frosh-Soph: Kao, Schlecht, Madeliene Klieban, Lydia Faber

200 Freestyle Relay Frosh-Soph: Klieban, Schlecht, Eaton, Kao

400 Freestyle Relay Frosh–Soph: Alison Brodt, Faber, P. Nolte, Klieban

850 Freestyle Crescendo Relay: Jessica Woolfe, Hannah Nolte, Anna Pankau, Brodt

York continues to advance to championship season against Lyons Township next Thursday in an away dual meet.
