Adoptable Pets of the Week: Abby and Amy!

Abby and Amy, mother and daughter labs, are looking for their forever home.

Information provided by Elmhurst Animal Care Center.

Meet Abby and Amy.

Abby is a 13-year-old black lab and Amy, her daughter, is a 12-year-old chocolate lab. They are a bonded pair who have always been together. They’re good girls who have been through a lot.

After their human mom died and their house burned down, their human dad, who is a truck driver, could no longer care for us. Midwest Lab Rescue saved them.

They need to be adopted as a pair, but once you meet them, you would never have it any other way. They may be senior ladies, but they have energy, are healthy, housebroken and don’t chew. And, they’re quite the lookers, too.

They don’t need to be crated, they just need to be loved. They get along fine with other dogs and they love humans, but they should probably stay away from cats. They also love to ride in cars.

Abby and Amy are a little skittish in new situations, but after a couple of days, they'll fit right in.
