Adoptable Pet of the Week: Eddie!

Eddie, the dachshund, is looking for his forever home.

Information provided by Elmhurst Animal Care Center.

Eddie is a sweetheart, according to his foster parents. He's the cutest thing when he looks at you with his wrinkled brow.

Eddie is potty trained, with no accidents at his foster home, as well as crate trained during the day and at bedtime. Sometimes he will go into his kennel all on his own to chill out, or if he needs a break from the other dogs or people.

As sweet as he is, it's not a good idea to have him with cats or smaller dogs that squeak too much. He can be a little obsessive with them and is not the best pair-up. It is best to have him with dogs similar to his size or larger.

The apartment setting is not the place for Eddie, as he does have a little anxiety when separated from his mom or dad. His anxiety does seem to get better with his crate training and also if there are other dogs to keep him company.
